Recovery point objective is how much data loss you can tolerate, measured in time. Recovery time objective is how quickly you must be back online. They drive the design and cost of your DR.

How do you protect backups against ransomware?

We use immutable, versioned backups with separate access controls, so even an attacker with cloud credentials cannot delete or encrypt your recovery copies.

Do you actually test the recovery?

Yes. We run scheduled recovery drills and document the results. An untested backup gives false confidence, so proving restores work is part of the engagement.
