Community Programs Policy
The rules that keep NUEXUS Community programs fair, safe and worth trusting.
Effective 7 July 2026
1. Scope
This policy governs all NUEXUS Community initiatives, including AI for Kids, Cyber Safety for Everyone, NUEXUS for Non-Profits and Women in Cyber & Dev, together with related community sessions, workshops and mentorship activities.
It applies to participants, parents and guardians, mentors, volunteers and NUEXUS staff taking part in any community program. Where a program involves children, the Child Safety & Parental Consent Policy applies in addition to this one and takes precedence if the two differ.
2. Eligibility and verification
Each initiative states who it is for on its own page. We verify eligibility so that limited capacity, including pro bono slots and supported training seats, goes where it is intended.
- Participants under 18 may only join through a parent or guardian, who registers on their behalf and provides documented consent.
- Non-profit applicants are asked for proof of registration as a non-profit, NGO or charity before support is scoped.
- Program-specific criteria, such as the audience of Women in Cyber & Dev, are stated on the program page and applied as written.
- Misrepresenting eligibility is grounds for removal from a program and refusal of future applications.
3. Code of conduct
Community programs are welcoming spaces. Everyone taking part, including NUEXUS staff and mentors, agrees to the following.
- Treat every participant with respect. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation and unwelcome sexual attention are not tolerated in any form, in any channel.
- No demeaning behaviour tied to gender, age, religion, ethnicity, disability, background or experience level. Beginner questions are welcome by design.
- Stay within program channels for program communication. Do not take conversations with minors to private or personal channels under any circumstances.
- Respect participant privacy. Do not share other participants' contact details, work or personal information outside the program.
Violations are acted on. Depending on severity, consequences range from a warning to immediate and permanent removal from all NUEXUS programs. Reports go to hr@nuexus.com and are handled confidentially.
4. Participant privacy
We collect the minimum information needed to run each program, typically your name, contact details and the eligibility information the program page describes. For children, data collection is further restricted as set out in the Child Safety & Parental Consent Policy.
- We do not sell participant data, and we do not use community program data for advertising.
- Photos, recordings or testimonials are only used with your consent, and for minors only with the written consent of a parent or guardian.
- You may request deletion of your program data at any time by writing to legal@nuexus.com.
The NUEXUS Privacy Policy applies to all data we hold. This section adds program-specific commitments on top of it.
5. Non-profit support and fair use
Support provided under NUEXUS for Non-Profits is for the organization's mission. It may not be resold, sublicensed or redirected to commercial activities.
- Pro bono capacity is limited and allocated by need and impact. We are honest about what we can take on and when.
- The scope of any engagement, including what is free and what is discounted, is agreed in writing before work begins.
- We may decline or withdraw support if information provided during verification proves inaccurate, or if the support is used outside the agreed scope.
6. Mentors and volunteers
Mentors and session leads are NUEXUS practitioners or vetted volunteers. All of them accept this policy before taking part. Anyone working in programs that involve children additionally accepts the Child Safety & Parental Consent Policy and completes NUEXUS child-safety onboarding before joining any session with minors.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as programs evolve. The effective date above always reflects the current version, and material changes are noted on this page. Continued participation after a change means acceptance of the updated policy.
